WHEN AND HOW DID YOU JOIN THE FUNERAL INDUSTRY?
I joined the industry in April 2005 after answering an ad in the Press, I had no idea what I was getting myself into but 13 years later I’m still at Academy.

WHEN DID YOU QUALIFY?
I was sent to Weltec in 2006 to complete the embalmers course under the guidance and knowledge of Michael Wolfram, and Pierre Erasmus, and under these two fantastic men I managed to graduate in 2007. Three of my class mates have since become business owners, Ese Tatupu, Keith Gillions and Mathew Worthington.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?
What I enjoy most about this industry is gaining knowledge off other embalmers and funeral directors. I always said I would never become an FD but alas I was enrolled in the Funeral directors course in 2013 and graduated in 2014, and I must say it was the best thing I did (apart from the embalmers course).

WHAT IS A MEMORABLE MOMENT FROM YOUR INDUSTRY CAREER?
Most memorable moment would have to be graduating in Embalming, which is my passion.
