Membership Options

Full Membership   – $240

To be eligible for full membership applicants must:

  • Hold a national qualification in embalming, or any other such qualification deemed suitable by the Executive.
  • Successfully complete such theoretical and/or practical examinations the Executive deems required.
  • Be currently employed in the funeral industry.
Student Member  – $120

A person who is enrolled on a training course approved by the Executive to attain a national qualification in embalming may apply for student membership of the Association.

The maximum period for student membership shall be three years.

Student members may attend all meetings of the Association but may not vote, nor hold a proxy.

Associate Member – $120
  • Any full member who is retiring or leaving the profession, but who wishes to retain formal links with the Association, may apply to the Executive to change their membership status to associate member
  • Any full member who satisfies the Executive they are travelling abroad or working in the profession outside of New Zealand, and are consequently unable to achieve the requirements to retain a current practising certificate, may apply to the Executive to change their membership status from full member to associate member.

Associate members shall be entitled to:

  • Attend all social activities of the Association.
  • Attend education sessions arranged by the Association.
  • Be on the mailing list of the Association.
